Getting There

When you enter the gates, let the greeters know you are camping with And Then There's Only Love at our location that year. This is especially helpful if you pass through the gates late at night. If you are staying at a theme camp, they will usually let you drive to us instead of temporarily camping in the back and waiting for sunrise. Tell them we are expecting you - and we are! Follow the signs to our street! The speed limit in the city is 5 MPH and monitored closely - so go 4 MPH. We’ll be there when you arrive!

What to Bring

Radical self-reliance! There are things you are absolutely going to need at burning man and some things that you definitely don’t. We have broken it down to a few essentials...  Read more about tents, bikes, water, food, etc. at the link below

Camp: Shower, Kitchen and Power

Yes, that's right - We have a shower - a freaking hot water, real shower head, built for 4, SHOWER!!!

We also have a communal kitchen - yay! You don’t need to bring every pot, pan and cooking item to keep you fed! Here are some guidelines to keep this perk at the best for everyone.

And our campers can opt in for power to run devices off our generator. More at the link below!

Weather

The Black Rock Desert is a dry lake bed at approximately 4000 feet elevation. The temperature can climb up to 120 degrees and then drop below freezing. And the humidity can drop to the low single digits. It’s a wild playa out there!! You must be ready for whatever comes your way. And you will find that layers are your friend on the playa. If you find yourself in a white out dust storm, keep calm! White outs seldom last more than half an hour so best to find some nearby shelter and wait it out.

Medical and Legal

We usually have doctors and RNs in camp, but they may not be in when you need them. (It’s their burn too!) We also have a set of radios in camp which can access the BMOrg’s 911 channel. Emergency use only! Find the daily Camp Lead or Lazlo in case of emergency to use a radio.

LEGAL: This information is a general lay of the legal land at Burning Man to keep you smiling, dancing and out of trouble.

Moop and Leave No Trace

MOOP stands for matter out of place. Anything other than Playa doesn’t belong on the Playa - including waste water, glitter, feathers, cigarette ashes, wood chips, zip ties - anything! The easiest way not to MOOP is not to let anything you are working with touch the ground. Don’t bring costumes that have sequins, feathers, glitter or threads that will easily come off. Burning Man is the world’s largest “Leave No Trace” event.
